TableBuilder is a way to access detailed data where you can create, save, and download your own tables.

Who is this service for

TableBuilder is an online tool for creating your own tables using ABS microdata. There are many topics and datasets available in TableBuilder related to households, businesses, the economy, health and the Census.

TableBuilder is available to users who register and agree to the conditions of use. As a registered user you can:

  • access free ABS products
  • access products your organisation has subscribed to.

This service is suitable for users with intermediate statistical skills.

Accessing this service

To access TableBuilder, register for TableBuilder using your organisation email address (if applicable) to automatically join your organisation in the Registration Centre. When you register, you are automatically granted access to Census TableBuilder Basic and Businesses in Australia. All organisation members are also automatically granted access to Census TableBuilder Pro (free) and to the products your organisation has access to.

To access your existing TableBuilder account, log in to TableBuilder using your Registration Centre ID and password.

Privacy

Registration, access to, and management of the use of TableBuilder is through the Registration Centre.

The types of personal information we collect includes:

  • basic contact details including name and address, phone number, email address for business and private, name of employer, job title and signature
  • organisation characteristics (e.g. business name, address, contact details, ABN, organisation email domains).

Personal information is retained and then destroyed in line with current legislative requirements.
